And the Winner Is.... EVERYBODY!!
Mrs. Liner's students, as well as the students in Mrs. Nabors' room, spent a week trying to collect 100 cans of food for their class in honor of the 100th day of school. In only five days, these kindergartners collected over 250 cans. Pictured above with the students, (who are dressed like they are 100 years old) is Mr. Ray Miller from the Red Door Kitchen. He thanked the students and told them that this donation will feed a lot of hungry people. In the end, this was a competition between the two classes and Mrs. Liner's class was victorious. Mrs. Liner's class collected over 150 cans, while Mrs. Nabors' class collected around 120. Pictured sitting on the truck are the two students who brought in the most cans. Danica C. brought 30 cans and Emi N. collected around 70 cans for her class. Congratulations to everyone who participated!

1-13-12 PE Star Student of the Week
This week’s star student has done an excellent job of dealing with tough times. He is working hard to do the right things and be a true leader and friend to his classmates. He always brightens everyone’s day with his positive attitude and great smile. No matter how bad or tough of a day he is having he always has a smile on his face. Great job Emmanuel J. for being this week’s brightest star!

2012 Kindergarten CAN DRIVE
Kindergarten classes are trying to bring in at least 100 cans to help celebrate the 100th day of school AND help needy people in the community.
All cans will be given to the RED DOOR KITCHEN in Talladega. We will keep you updated on which class has the most cans. This should be fun and exciting.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Traveling Snowmen
The kindergarten students worked very hard over the holidays creating a "traveling snowman." Each of these snowmen represent a state from our wonderful country. There are snowmen from Hawaii, Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, and many more. However, as you know, "there's SNOW place like home." Several of the snowmen represent our great state of Alabama!
